Privacy
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure visits, so we can learn which content is useful to readers and improve reading.
What is collected
- Pages viewed, where visits come from (referring site or link), time on page and scrolling.
- Device and browser type and approximate region (inferred by Google from the visit; GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses).
- Interactions on the site: clicks on official source links, reading an item page for 30 seconds, and search terms typed into the on-site filter.
What is not collected
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or other identity data. The site has no accounts and no advertising tracking.
Cookies and retention
GA4 uses first-party cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. Statistics are processed on Google's servers and kept for the period set in this site's GA4 settings, at most 14 months.
How to opt out
You can disable cookies in your browser or block googletagmanager.com, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on. How Google handles data is set out in its privacy policy.
TradingView data on the economic calendar
The "Data and market expectations" section of the (Chinese) economic calendar page is built by this site from data it fetches from TradingView on a schedule; your browser does not connect to TradingView when you read it. When that data cannot be updated, the section embeds TradingView's global calendar widget instead (no other page loads it). According to TradingView, the widget sets no cookies; to show data, TradingView receives the address of the embedding page, the widget type and your IP address (kept briefly, to defend against network attacks). See its privacy policy.
